Parmenion today expands the discretionary fund management offering on its adviser platform with the addition of investment model portfolios from PortfolioMetrix, Elston Portfolio Management and Quilter.

PortfolioMetrix is a global investment manager which aims to deliver precision-engineered model portfolios to advisers. Its ‘Insourcing’ proposition is now available through the Parmenion platform, offering risk-rated model portfolios which can be tailored to the advice firm and given its company branding. The models are shaped by the adviser’s investment philosophy and aligned to their preferred risk profiler.

PortfolioMetrix builds portfolios that ‘fly in formation’, achieved by the firm applying consistent risk measures with an asset allocation first approach. Its investment solutions provide a coherent toolset for advisers, leading to suitable and consistent outcomes for investors and efficiency gains for the advice business.

Elston Portfolio Management provides both its own and adviser-defined custom portfolios using research, analytics and insights from Elston Consulting which provides consultancy services to adviser firms and DFMs alike.  Its portfolio ranges include the Elston Adaptive Portfolio range of 5 dynamically managed multi-asset portfolios, the Elston Retirement Portfolios that were purpose-built for decumulation and the Elston Money Market Portfolio as an alternative to platform cash.  Elston Portfolio Management also manages custom ranges of portfolios developed with and for financial adviser firms.

Quilter’s WealthSelect managed portfolio service launched to the UK market in 2014 and provides access to actively managed, risk-targeted multi-asset portfolios.  One of the largest managed portfolio services available in the market, it has £15.2bn under management.

Advisers can now access Quilter’s WealthSelect Managed Active, Blend and Passive portfolios on the Parmenion platform. Responsible and Sustainable models may be added at a later date in response to demand.

Parmenion Chief Commercial Officer Mike Morrow commented:

“We have added several top-quality investment products to our platform over the last 12 months, and we think this move to make these highly sought after portfolios available via Parmenion will be welcomed by our adviser clients. We have been impressed with these firms’ approach to risk management and their use of technology to deliver well-calibrated model portfolios.”

PortfolioMetrix Managing Director Ben Peele said:

“Our Insourcing service is growing from strength to strength and this tie up with Parmenion will allow us to build more partnerships with culturally aligned adviser firms. It will also give many more advisers and their clients access to our award-winning range of outsourced model portfolios.”

Elston’s Head of Research Henry Cobbe added:

“We are delighted that Elston’s model portfolios now feature on Parmenion’s adviser platform. Our mission is to bring institutional quality solutions to support UK financial advisers with their investment proposition, and we are always looking to broaden our reach in the advice space by partnering with leading platforms such as Parmenion.”

Andy Miller, lead investment director at Quilter said:

“As we continue to broaden the availability of WealthSelect, we are delighted Parmenion’s adviser community now have access to one of the largest and longest standing managed portfolio services. MPS solutions are a critical part of the adviser toolkit, and it is important they have a choice of portfolios they can trust to deliver for clients. For the past decade, we have provided advisers with access to a quality investment team and strong links to some of the largest asset managers in the world, giving us the capability to deliver a disciplined and repeatable investment approach.”

Parmenion now has more than 35 third party MPS providers available via the Investment Platform and will be adding additional DFMs subject to adviser demand.
