Beth Welsh
Operations Director
1. When and why did you choose to switch to Parmenion?
We were looking to partner with a firm that could deliver a DFM model with co-design options and, most importantly, one that owned their own tech. That was a huge thing for us.
We spoke to a few different firms, but having previously used Parmenion for our junior LISAs and junior SIPPs we knew they offered standout service, so they were the one we ended up opting for. They’ve been our main platform for about a year now.
2. How’s your Parmenion Switch story going so far?
We did our first Switch in December 2025, starting with a smaller client bank of roughly 40 clients as a test. It went really smoothly. It was very quick and gave us a good taste of the process. Then we moved to a bigger Switch with one of our acquired firms where there were lot more assets but again, we had a really great experience with Parmenion. The team did everything they could, and we have nothing but praise for them.
3. Is there a particular part that has been most valuable, in terms of support or service?
The whole thing delivered value, but for us, it was just how proactive Parmenion’s account managers are. If there's ever any issues or questions, they’re straight onto the platform, chasing and updating us. So, that proactivity has been the biggest reassuring piece because we know if things go wrong, they’re all over it.
4. What were you most worried about when switching?
The experience for our clients. We never want it to be disruptive. We know there’s going to be a period of transition, but we want to make it as seamless as possible and still keep that same level of service. Parmenion have been great in doing everything they can to make sure there’s as little disruption as possible.
5. What are the main obstacles you’ve faced from other platforms?
Each platform has their own different set of transfer requirements, like wanting three months of cash left and wanting us to transfer in batches. Also, a lot of them aren’t electronically connected for everything and have more manual processes that just haven't kept up with the times. Sometimes you think they're making it deliberately difficult to take assets off.
6. Would you say that your switch to Parmenion has improved client outcomes?
Yes, definitely. For us it's that consistency piece. As a business, having that one platform with a consistent strategy contributes to that. There's much less manual intervention. We know that mistakes are made from manual intervention and manual processes, which a lot of old platforms need.
With Parmenion, their tech and how slick processes are, we have very little intervention, which is great. So again, that contributes to better outcomes because there's less likelihood of something going wrong when you don’t have to fiddle about with manual processes.
7. Have we made your team happy?
They all love Parmenion - the platform is very user friendly, we get great support, both from the Switch team and on our client relationship side. The Parmenion team are brilliant, they answer all our questions, they're so knowledgeable, and great personalities.
8. What's the one thing that you would say has impressed you most about working with us?
Partnership: we can co-design, we work together to get the solution that we want, and we know your team know exactly how we work. You listen to what we need.
9. How would you score our Switch service out of five?
Five.
10. What would you say to other firms who are unhappy with their current platform?
Go out and do your research and find someone that you can truly partner with. Having a platform with a dedicated switch team and a genuine understanding of your business is key. You don’t always see that with other platforms.
