Performance (and more) coming to the mobile app

Mobile App Update Jan 2024

We’ve been paying close attention to your feedback since we launched our mobile app.

You told us you wanted your clients to see the same information in the app that’s in the client portal. So, in our next release this week, we’ll be adding some new functionality that does just that.

Here’s what’s in store:

  1. View their investment performance

We’ve taken a look at our existing performance reporting, made it even better and introduced it to the app. Once we've heard what you think about it, we'll look to make available in the client portal as well.

We’re also looking to add some information about charges, but we want to make sure it’s useful and understandable for clients first. So we’re just getting some feedback before we add that in.
  1. Add/update SIPP expression of wish

Clients can now add (or update) their SIPP expression of wish directly in the app.

How do they work?

Performance reporting

When your client opens the app, they’ll see a new Performance button at the bottom:

 From here they can see:

  • Gains or losses
  • Money in and out (deposits and withdrawals)
  • Value of their portfolio over time
  • A charges tab is available, but for now we’re just asking for feedback on this feature

Add/update SIPP expression of wish

If your client doesn’t have an expression of wish, they’ll see an orange button prompting them to add one.

And if they already have one and want to update it, they can head to the Your profile button at the bottom. Then click on Update your SIPP expression of wish.

Don’t forget, the app also improves security

Remember, if your client has our app they’re automatically registered with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

This means when they log in to their Parmenion account on a browser, a notification is sent to their mobile device. Then they open the Parmenion app, tap “Yes” to confirm it’s really them and they’re in.

Advisers looking to make their login more secure can also use the app to set up MFA on their account.

Built with accessibility in mind

The Parmenion app is built with accessibility in mind, supporting all of iOS and Android's accessibility text scaling. There's also support for their built in screen readers too.

What’s next?

We’re always looking for ways to make the experience with Parmenion even better, and this is just the start of improvements for 2024.

We know that getting signatures from clients for platform requests can be a bit of a pain. So we’re going to make it easier for clients with MFA to confirm certain requests through the app. Look out for more on these changes in the near future.

In the meantime, if you’d like a handy guide to what’s available on the app for your clients (and what they need to do to get signed up) download our guide.
