Good Money Week: The Adviser Sustainability Group

This #GoodMoneyWeek Parmenion Ethical Oversight Committee member Julia Dreblow, Founder of SRI Services and Partners, covers the recently published Adviser Sustainability Group report.

The group was set up by the FCA to assess how sustainable funds could be better integrated and promoted - following Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR). Julia acted as Vice Chair of the report, alongside Daniel Godfrey as Chair, with other members including leading advisers, wealth managers and industry experts.

The group’s recent report is now available and offers practical guidance to help integrate sustainability into existing advice processes. At a time when many advisers are continuing to navigate SDR requirements and evolving client expectations, the report provides key frameworks that can be applied in day-to-day advice conversations.

The report includes:

  • Explanations of key regulations
  • Good practice insights
  • Ready-to-use templates
  • Steps to identify and act on client preferences
  • Training/CPD guidance

An open letter to the FCA

In an open letter to the FCA, the group also called for further action to help normalise discussions around clients' sustainability preferences and improve understanding of sustainability-related risks.

You can hear more from Julia at this year’s SRI Services and Partners Good Money Week conference in London on 1st October, where several committee members will be sharing the stage and diving deeper into sustainability insights and debates.

SRI will also be showing the People’s Emergency Briefing film in the evening for those who have missed it, with a discussion after.
